To Educate Area High School Students About Business Career Options

Comprehensive Consulting Solutions for Small Business’ founder and Small Business Consultant, Mollie Watkins, is linking with H.I.R.E.D (Helping Individuals Reach Employment Dreams), a local non-profit that works directly with businesses, industry leaders, and post-secondary educators to create linkages between area high school students and employers.

The goal of H.I.R.E.D. is to impact students by creating opportunities for them to explore and identify realistic career opportunities and identify potential paths to achieve their career goals. The business and education communities provide high quality vocational information and career guidance for the students, which helps them recognize education, training, and employment paths necessary for their career choices.

The students greatly benefit from this real-life exposure, but so does the business community, as they develop and recruit highly trained workforce in NWA. This symbiotic relationship between the student and businesses creates a win-win situation for all. H.I.R.E.D serves 1800 students and 163 teachers across 6 school districts.

Ms. Watkins, an Accredited Small Business Consultant, owns and manages Comprehensive Consulting Solutions for Small Business. Her firm offers management consulting for small business owners who need business consulting and coaching solutions to increase operational efficiencies and maximize profit. This is achieved by analyzing small business operations, business planning marketing, recruiting, revenue growth, customer experience, sales, staff training, employee culture and retention, and more Her firm is highly recognized in NWA. Prior to creating her own business, Ms. Watkins worked in Fortune 100 Companies. Her experience provides a diverse view into the world of business.

She will be sharing her expertise with area high school students on January 11th through an online career seminar sponsored by H.I.R.E.D. Mollie feels it is “important to share first-hand knowledge with the students, so they can explore and narrow down their interests with realistic information. Sharing with the community is so important, and the development of our youth is crucial for their future, as well as NWA’s future. It’s so important to give back and I enjoy doing it”.
